Houdini 9 look and feel

When I was hired at SideFX, Houdini had a horribly out-of-date, visually displeasing, and intimidating user interface. Luckily I got to redesign the look and feel of the entire application for the following version (Houdini 9, in 2007).

I generated hundreds if not thousands of mockups for how various controls should look, as well as redesigns of entire panes and dialogs, but these are the ones I could find on my hard drive.

As of 2022 I will finally have the opportunity to update the look and feel again to be more contemporary, prototyping it in Python using Qt’s QStyle and PySide.
